Why did the crimes of Harold Shipman remain undetected?

As a new play, Beyond Belief: Scenes from the Shipman Inquiry, opens in Manchester, the writer of this documentary drama, Dennis Wolf, and Ann Alexander, the solicitor who represented the families of Harold Shipman's victims and fought to bring the inquiry into the public domain, discuss the reasons why his crimes remained undetected for so long.

Beyond Belief: Scenes from the Shipman Inquiry is at Manchester's Library Theatre, Friday 22 October - Saturday 20 November. Box office: 0161 236 7110.
