Nadia Bakhurji is the first woman to declare herself a candidate in Saudi Arabia's first nationwide local elections
Educated in Leicester, Nadia moved back to her native Saudi Arabia in the early 80’s and became a successful interior designer.
The elections, which take place early next year there are being seen as a first step towards political reform. Nadia will be talking about why she’s decided to stand for election in a country where women are not even allowed to drive.
