Gwen and Augustus John28 September 2004
the new exhibition at Tate Britain

Nearly 80 years after sibling artists Gwen and Augustus John last shared an exhibition space, Tate Britain brings them together again.

Although Augustus once described himself and his sister as "the same thing, really" the exhibition shows how their artistic development went in opposite directions.

Curator Cecily Langdale joins Jenni to talk about the events that influenced Gwen John's career - her brother, Rodin and Catholicism.

The Gwen and Augustus John exhibition runs from 29 September 2004 - 9 January 2005 at Tate Britain
