on their new book, The Jewel Garden

Sarah and Monty Don's relationship has encapsulated the essence of the last two decades. In the 1980s their costume jewellery business brought them fame, high living, and a huge country house, all of which disappeared in the economic crisis of the end of the decade.

But in the 1990s, they picked up the pieces and abandoned the 80s 'aspiration to aristocratic living', returned to the land and raised their family together.

Now they have co-authored a book about the creation of their garden in Herefordshire which describes the unique blend of teamwork in their marriage. They talk to Jenni about how they rebuilt their lives and their new book,The Jewel Garden.

Monty and Sarah Don's book, The Jewel Garden is published by Hodder & Stoughton, ISBN0340826711
