Kirsten Dunst24 September 2004
On child stardom, family and her new film Wimbledon

Kirsten Dunst first caught the public’s attention when she appeared alongside Brad Pitt in the film An interview with a Vampire at the tender age of 11. In the following 11 years Dunst’s career has been similarly impressive - appearing in a total of 44 films.

In her latest, Wimbledon, Kirsten plays a rising American tennis star who falls for fading British player Peter Cole, played by Master and Commander actor Paul Bettany.

Ritula Shah talks to Kirsten about acting, her relationship with her mum and her latest role in the film dubbed the ‘new Notting Hill’.

Wimbledon is released in UK cinemas on Friday 24th September
