Household chores: toilets14 September 2004
Sue Elliott-Nichols reports on the most detested of jobs - cleaning the loo

There are always dishes to be done, kitchen floors to be washed and cushions to be plumped. Arguments over who does what have been known to break a relationship.

Last week we discussed the rubbish bin and whose job it is to take it out. Several of you got in touch through the message board to say the chore which causes most friction in your house is cleaning the loo.

Sue Elliott-Nicholls has two sons - a recipe for lavatorial disaster - and with the help of members of several households she tackles the toilet.
