Help us find the top 10 novels that have changed the way we see women by nominating your choice
Woman's Hour invites you to nominate the novel which has spoken to you on a personal level. It may have changed the way you look at yourself or simply made you happy to be a woman. As a man, it may have affected your understanding of the women in your life. Your selection can be written by a man or a woman, in this country or abroad, as long as it touched your life in some way.
Jenni talks to Lisa Jardine, who's chaired prizes including the Man Booker Prize and has conducted research for the Orange Prize for Fiction to come up with an initial Top 5 from a longlist of 40 novels. They're joined by Jackie Kay, whose novel Trumpet has changed lives, and Radio 4's Open Book presenter and former Man Booker Prize judge, Mariella Frostrup, to discuss what makes a Watershed book.
So start thinking which novel made a difference, gave you hope, kick-started a course of action, or changed your mind.
