Long before Wayne Rooney pulled on a pair of football boots another teenage terror from Merseyside was on the way to becoming England's most prolific goal scorer. Lily Parr played for the Dick Kerr Ladies who were founded in 1917.
The Dick Kerr Ladies were a group of factory girls. They drew crowds in excess of fifty thousand and they became international soccer stars, before the women's game was effectively banned by the Football Association.
Jenni asks Lily's nephew about her exploits and some of the other Dick Kerr Ladies remember their days on the pitch.
