Summer reading18 August 2004
Author: Shirley Hazzard's summer pick

Are you tormented by that pile of books by your bed, growing bigger as the weeks go by but you just can't seem to stay awake long enough to read more than a couple of pages?

Well with the summer holidays here at last there's a chance to take your stash to the beach, to the city, wherever you go to relax and catch up.

Shirley Hazzard (author of The Great Fire, shortlisted for the Orange Prize and winner of the National Book Award in the United States ) met reporter Sajida Perween and told her about her holiday reading list.
