MC Shystie
11 August 2004
Listen to this item
How she became one of Britain's fastest rappers
Aged 21, Shystie is the poster-girl for 'grime' (a new trend of music) and has been hailed as the hottest new sound on Britain's music scene.
She is one of Britain's fastest lyricists and is able to deliver lyrics at the speed of 12.5 syllables a second.
MC Shystie inspires adoration and fear in equal measure in her audiences.
She talks to Jenni about her uncompromising music, her childhood in Hackney, and her new-found fame.
Her first album has just been released entitled 'Diamond in the Dirt
'
on Polydor records
