What happens when an asylum application is rejected?
Just over a year ago we reported the case of Eva, a fourteen year old girl who spent six weeks in detention centres with her family after their asylum application had been turned down.
Eva's father went missing fighting in the Congo and her mother had been beaten and repeatedly raped by soldiers in Uganda. But this Sunday morning, the door of their home was broken down by uniformed police officers who told them they would be boarding a flight back to Uganda that same day.
Eva is now fifteen, her brother is eleven and her sister is two. Angela Robson speaks to Eva (not her real name) and her mother about what happened.
