Hereditary breast cancer23 June 2004
New recommendations from NICE

New guidelines from the National Institution of Clinical Excellence (NICE) are published today setting out how health professionals should identify women who are at risk of developing breast cancer because they have a history of the condition in their family.

Jenni talks to Professor Gareth Evans, consultant medical geneticist and chair of the Guideline Development Group and to Wendy Watson, director of Hereditary Breast Cancer Helpline to find out what the recommendations are and the effect they will have on women.
