A plant that survives hot and dry conditions

Garden borders across the country are now in full bloom. Roses and peonies abound and soon the more robust colours of the day lily will provide the oranges and reds of high summer. 

Corinne Julius joins Maggie Campbell Culver, author of the Origins of Plants in her garden to look at the Day Lily.
