Academic, Dr Anne Lorne Gillies is also a distinguished Gaelic singer. Her collection of the old songs from the remote Scottish islands of St Kilda is about to be released, including many songs which have never before been recorded.
Anne joins Jenni to talk about why she's drawn to the songs and how the words and music evoke the life of the St Kildans, the last of whom left the islands in 1930.
