Women’s attitudes to cursing27 May 2004
Is it still the case that real ladies don't swear?

Gordon Ramsay has this week started his new series, Hell's Kitchen , in which he attempts to train ten celebrities into professional chefs. But it's his swearing not his culinary skills that people are talking about.

Would a female presenter have been allowed to get away with it? Jenni explores women's attitudes to swearing with Bethan Davis, from Leeds University and member of the Politeness Research Group, Pippa Smith, co-founder of mediamarch and Comedienne Jenny Eclair.
