Baroness Boothroyd28 Apr 2004
Baroness Boothroyd is campaigning for a London memorial to the women of World War II.

Today a substantial donation brought her project a step closer to realisation.

The National Heritage Memorial Fund has donated nearly a million pounds to the fund for the statue which will be placed near the Cenotaph in Whitehall and will be unveiled in June 2005.

Jenni asks the former speaker of the House of Commons, Betty Boothroyd, now Baroness Boothroyd, whether she feel she's finally won a great battle.
