Fifties fashion is back. Why?05 Apr 2004
The young Audrey Hepburn is the muse for Prada's spring collection, and colour has already crept into the high streets - with bright patterns, voluminous skirts and neat fitted jumpers all part of the fifties revival.

At this year's Baftas Scarlett Johannson wasn't the only star doing a Marilyn Monroe, with silky gowns and coiffured locks the order of the day. The Fifties are back in fashion, but why?

Sheila talks to Oriel Cullen, Assistant curator of fashion at the Museum of London and Julia Robson, deputy fashion editor of the Daily Telegraph.
