New Media and Pre-School Children
The sight of a toddler in front of a computer screen brings out mixed and often strong reactions in adults. But love it or loathe it children are growing up in a technological age and computers and new media are an essential part of it.

So what is the impact of new media on pre-school children? What effect does it have on their emerging language and social skills? Is it another creative tool to help in their development, or simply a device to keep them occupied?

Jenni discusses the issues with Anne Wood, creator of the Teletubbies and Dr Jackie Marsh, Senior Lecturer in Education at the University of Sheffield.
