Sailor Hannah Mills16 Mar 2004
hannah mills
And now for the next in our series on sports superstars of the future. Hannah Mills is a schoolgirl from Dinys Powys, near Cardiff and she was voted UK Young Sailor of the Year in 2002.

Last year, still only 15, she went on to be crowned girls' world sailing champion in the Optimist World Championships in Gran Canaria. She notched up Britain's best ever performance at the competition, in which 221 boats from 49 countries competed.

We talked to the sports writer Sue Mott about the challenges that lie ahead for the young sailor and spoke to Hannah about her success and hopes for the future.
