Lady Annabel Goldsmith12 Mar 2004
Lady Annabel Goldsmith
Lady Annabel Goldsmith is the woman whose name was immortalised when her first husband named a nightclub after her, "Annabel's".

Her life has been in many ways privileged but also touched with tragedy. Her first son Rupert died in West Africa and her second son was mauled by a tiger. And Lady Annabel herself was of course first the mistress and later the wife of dynamic entrepreneur, Jimmy Goldsmith. Together they had three children including Jemima Khan and she stuck with him when he famously said, "If you marry your mistress, you create a vacancy".

Lady Annabel joins Martha to talk about her memoir Annabel: An Unconventional Life .

Annabel: An Unconventional Life is published by Weidenfeld & Nicholson, ISBN 0297829661.
