Womens' involvement in the miners' strike02 Mar 2004
This week is the 20th anniversary of the beginning of the miners strike. We hear from miners' wives who give their recollections about what life was like for them during the strike.

Brenda Proctor, chair of the Women Against Pit Closure Group (WAPC) and secretary of her local branch in North Staffordshire, Claire Fox, director of the Institute of Ideas and Debbie Coulter, deputy General Secretary of the GMB (up for re-election) join Jenni to discuss whether women's participation in the strike affected the outcome and whether it challenged the role of women in society.
