Maggie GeeMonday 23 February 2004
Her new book The Flood rings some familiar bells: set in a city something like London, the waters are rising, as Mr Bliss and his government wage war with a distant power. She's also managed to incorporate most of the characters from her previous novels.

Maggie Gee joins Jenni to talk about the technical feat of the novel and about being made the new chair of the Royal Society of Literature.
'The Flood' by Maggie Gee is published by Saqi Books; ISBN: 0863563155
