House plants - The Shrimp plantTuesday 3 February 2004
There are a few faint signs of spring out in the garden, although I'm not sure how the budding magnolia will have felt about last week's harsh weather.

But there's not much to cheer up the dismal winter days, so we look to plants in the house for a bit of colour.
To find out what plants to look out for Corinne Julius went to meet the garden designer Julie Toll. Last year she won a gold medal for her tropical Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show using what, in Britain, would be houseplants.
