It's been described as the perennial ugly sister of the fabric world; more Miss Marple than Miu Miu. But not any more. Tweed has smartened up its act and shaken off its frumpy image to become this season's fashion must-have.

Fashion journalist from the Guardian, Hadley Freeman and Helen Taylor, archivist with responsibility for the textile collection at Herriot Watt University join Jenni to discuss the fabric's appeal and how we should we be wearing it.
