How Does a Best Friend Fit into Marriage?Tuesday 30 September 2003
What happens when there are three in a marriage...the husband, the wife and her best friend?

Men find the deep friendships between women baffling ? the intimacy signals possession, secrecy and sometimes trouble. So is it possible for a best friend to know your secrets and support you emotionally without rocking a marriage?
Writer Maureen Freely joins relationship counsellor Susan Quilliam and Jenni to discuss how this problem has dogged her all her life.
What happens when a best friend gets too close? Is there a way of gently reining them in or is it time to give them the push?
