When Chaucer wrote the original Canterbury Tales in the late 14th century he brought together a group of familiar characters who would each tell a story as they embarked upon a pilgrimage.
Julie Walters plays the lusty Wife of Bath in a new 6 part dramatisation of a modernised Canterbury Tales which begins next week. It also features James Nesbitt, Keeley Hawes and Dennis Waterman. Susan Hitch is a Chaucer scholar and critic and Kate Bartlett, the producer of the series join Jenni to discuss.
