Amina Lawal, the young woman convicted in Nigeria of adultery and sentenced to death by stoning, returns to court today for the second appeal against the verdict.
Her crime was to bear a child outside marriage and she was told she wouldn't face the death penalty until the baby was weaned. The child is now eighteen months old. Her first appeal was refused. The BBC's correspondent in Lagos, Dan Isaacs, spoke to Amina Lawal's lawyer and to Amina.
