The Governing Council of Iraq was appointed by the coalition authorities two weeks ago as a first step towards an Iraqi led administration.

Three of the Council members are women including Dr Akila Al-Hashemi an Iraqi diplomat of 25 years standing.
Dr Hashemi has been visiting the US and the UK and joins Jenni to talk about involving women in the reconstruction of Iraq.
