Her famous pose as been copied by Donald Duck, Wile E Coyote, the Muppets and Barbie.

She appears in Mr Bean, Cole Porter includes her in his lyrics and there's even been a bomber plane nicknamed after her.
Margaret McDonald and Georgia Toutziari, editor of Whistler's Mother's Correspondence join Sheila McClennon to discuss the enduring appeal of Whistler's famous portrait of his mother and find out more about the life of Anna Whistler herself.
