A new report by the Institute for Public Policy Research, published next month, has been looking at the root causes of forced migration into the EU and at which policies need to be implemented to control the flow.

But how much does the role of gender play in this migration and what safeguards need to be put in place to enable women to return to their homelands?
Dr Heaven Crawley, Director of Migration and Equalities Programme at the IPPR and Sadia Ahmed, who fled from the civil war in Somalia 6 years ago and is now a student in London join Sheila to discuss.
