Mothers & WarThursday 27 March 2003
A mother during 2nd world war
The Imperial War Museum North is marking this coming Mother's Day with a special event exploring the roles of mothers in war.

As illegitimacy rates soared, sons left for the front and daughters struggled for independence at home, Judy Merry speaks to some of the women who brought up their children in the war years.
