Nicaraguan Abortion RowWednesday 5 March 2003
Nicaragua is divided over the case of a nine year old girl who had an abortion following being raped. It has caused huge arguments between the anti-abortion conservative government & the Catholic Church and women's & children's groups who are pro-choice.

The authorities had originally decided to prosecute all those involved, as abortion is illegal in Nicaragua - but the Attorney General's office backed down on Monday, deciding not to take action.
Rupert Widdicombe - the Guardian's man in Managua, joins Jenni to give the latest on the situation.
