Climbie Family ReportWednesday 29 January 2003
This afternoon the long-awaited report from Lord Laming into the string of failures that led to the brutal death in 2000 of 8-yr-old Victoria Climbie is published.

Victoria was chained up in an unheated bathroom, beaten and burnt, and died with 128 injuries on her body - and all this happened under the noses of child protection agencies.
The report is expected to be a severe indictment of the police, health and social services.
Jenni will be joined by Victoria's parents, Francis and Berthe Climbie, who have travelled from the Ivory Coast in order to hear finally who was to blame for their daughter's death.
For more information about the Climbie family campaign contact: Family Foundation Group, PO Box 184, Southall UB1 1WR. [email protected].
The Climbie family are hoping to raise money to build schools on the Ivory Coast in Victoria Climbie's honour.Send donations to: Victoria Climbie Family Campaign, Account Number: 51401203. Sort Code: 40-42-13. HSBC, 1 Regina Road, Southall, Middlesex.
