Peace BuildingWednesday 13 November 2002
Elisabeth Rehn visited 14 war zones in seven months, compiling a report for the UN on women and conflict.

She argues that a nation's stability is tightly linked to the status of its women who often provide the early warning signs of conflict.
On the anniversary of the fall of Kabul, Jenni asks her why the international community is still failing to recognise the crucial role played by women in peace-building and in the prevention of conflict.
