It is now approximately one year since a moratorium was imposed on overseas adoption from Romania.
The "ban" is now up for renewal again, with companies like the US lobbying heavily for it to be lifted.
Rachel Schofield revisits two families who adopted from Romania some 11 years ago and asks how they have got on.
