Make Me A ManMonday 5 August 2002
Stephen Whittle is a transsexual. The Channel 4 documentary Make Me a Man explores his journey as he undergoes a phalloplasty - the surgical construction of a penis.

A decision at the European Court of Human Rights last month means that British transsexuals will soon be able to change the gender on their birth certificate and to get married.
Sheila talks to Stephen and his partner Sarah Rutherford about this landmark decision.
