She was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Mike Leigh's Secrets and Lies.
In her new film Lovely and Amazing she plays another mother coming to terms with her daughters, set in Los Angeles. Brenda's character undergoes liposuction, and deals with the insecurities of her family. Brenda Blethyn joins Jenni to tell her more.
