Pam FerrisMonday 1 July 2002
Pam Ferris became a household name alongside David Jason and Catherine Zeta Jones when she played Ma Larkin in the Darling Buds of May. She then appeared regularly on the small screen on Sunday evenings as the district nurse Peggy Snow in Where the Heart is and now you can see her on Tuesday evening on BBC1 for the next six weeks in a new drama series called Paradise Heights.

She's the matriarch in a family where three sons, played by Neil Morrissey, Ralph Little and Charles Dale, are struggling to keep the family business together.
Pam Ferris tells Jenni why she chose this role.
