Sandra GregoryWednesday 26 June 2002
Sandra Gregory
In 1993 Sandra Gregory was sentenced to 25 years in Bangkok's notorious Lard Yao prison, dubbed the 'Bangkok Hilton', for attempting to smuggle heroin out of Thailand.

She served 4½ years before being repatriated in 1997 to serve the remainder of her sentence in British prisons, and was released in 2000 after a pardon from the King of Thailand.
She tells Sheila about the brutality of life behind bars in Thailand, and how she found British prisons even more traumatic.
Forget You Had A Daughter: Doing Time in the 'Bangkok Hilton' - Sandra Gregory's Story, Sandra Gregory & Michael Tierney, Vision Paperbacks; ISBN: 1904132065
