Edwardian HouseWednesday 5 June 2002
If someone offered you the opportunity to become the lady of an Edwardian country house - obeying your husband in everything, treating the servants as a form of lower life and wearing a tight corset all day, would you do it?

And if you were the younger sister, unmarried and child free, would you be ready to become the sad spinster aunt - even if it were only for three months?
Anna Olliff-Cooper is a casualty doctor in real life and her sister, Dr Avril Anson, is a freelance marketing consultant. They took on the roles for the TV series The Edwardian House which ended last week.
The Edwardian Country House, Channel 4 books; ISBN: 0752261665, £20
