Musica SecretaTuesday 14 May 2002
In the 16th Century an all female vocal ensemble was created by the Italian Duke Alfonso II d'Este. The Duke held private concerts for invited guests only hence the name musica secreta.

Now the secret is out and Jenni is joined by Dr Laurie Stras from Southampton University who has been researching the lives and works of these female performers. Joining them is Deborah Roberts, a soprano with the recreated Musica Secreta.
