Divorce & US ChristiansMonday 29 April 2002
In the United States, the concept of no fault divorce is well established. But amongst religious groups a backlash is under way. They have complained that the law doesn't allow them to expect a legally binding life-long commitment from their partner.

David Sims, from the Christian organisation FamilyLife International, wants to opt out of the normal system of family law and have issues like divorce dealt with by ecclesiastical courts.
Jenni asks him whether this is the proper way to protect the interests of women and children?
