Amanda CookThursday 11 April 2002
At just 25 she is being hailed as one of the country's most exciting young classical guitarists.

Amanda Cook was inspired by her blues-playing father, she took up the guitar at seven years old, but always preferred a classical stance.
She's won a string of competitions, including the 1995 'Admira Young Guitarist of the Year' award, she's performed throughout the world and was asked to play a specially commissioned piece for the 1st anniversary of the bombing in Omagh.
Her new CD "Debut," is available by mail order only through New Classical Distributors.
Amanda is in concert: 16 April - University of Sheffield at 6pm
17 April Instituto Cervantes, on Deansgate in Manchester at 7 pm.
