Women's style of politicsSaturday 6 April 2002
Do women behave differently to men in their political lives? New research is claiming that women do politics in a very different style to men.

According to Dr Sarah Childs from Middlesex University, women MPs' political styles are much less combative and aggressive than mens' and she is critical of male macho and gesture politics.
Martha Kearney is joined by Dr Sarah Childs, Jenny Tonge - Liberal Democrat MP for Richmond Upon Thames and Conservative MP, Gillian Shepherd to discuss whether the new generation of Blair's babes is influencing the way politics is being practiced in the House of Commons.
