Patricia Hodge has taken up this challenge to play the former Prime Minister in The Falklands Play, premiered to mark the 20th anniversary of the Falklands War. She is reported to have said this was the most terrifying role she has undertaken. But when Margaret Thatcher was Prime Minister, a whole range of people made a living out of impersonating her.
