Impersonating Mrs ThatcherWednesday 3 April 2002
Margaret Thatcher is one of the most seen and heard women of the last two decades. So playing her is a considerable challenge for any actor.

Patricia Hodge has taken up this challenge to play the former Prime Minister in The Falklands Play, premiered to mark the 20th anniversary of the Falklands War. She is reported to have said this was the most terrifying role she has undertaken.
But when Margaret Thatcher was Prime Minister, a whole range of people made a living out of impersonating her. One of the most well-known is Steve Nallon, the voice of Margaret Thatcher for Spitting Image
The both join Jenni to talk about the challenges they face.
The Falklands Play by Ian Curteis, BBC Radio 4 FM, Saturday 6 April, 14:30-16:00
