NajmaMonday 25 March 2002
Singer, composer and actor - Najma joins Jenni live, to perform songs from her new album, Vivid. A collaboration with film composer Richard Grassby Lewis, the album portrays a sound which they have dubbed Indian Gothic. Its been nine years in the making.

She began singing as a hobby at the age of 18, whilst studying to become a chemical engineer. A successful actress, she has performed at the National Theatre in Salman Rushdie's Haroon and the sea of stories.
In addition to her music, Najma is currently touring with theatre group Tara Arts in a trilogy of plays charting the trek many Indians made from their homes to East Africa to help build a railway for the British; and how when not given their promised payment by the railways, they travelled on to Britain.Vivid is published by Last Minute Productions (JAAN1102)
