The actor Jude Law recently revealed that he reads The Hobbit to his five year old son every night.

At the beginning of Bedtime Reading Week, Woman's Hour explores why children enjoy their parents reading to them, and why some children's book are such a pleasure for the parents to read aloud.
Jenni talks to children's author, Judith Kerr, children's book expert, Julia Eccleshare and father of two, Adam Gee.
