Little WomenTuesday 18 December 2001
An adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's classic novel Little Women is to be this year's Christmas show at the New End Theatre in Hampstead, London.

First published in 1868 the book and its sequels continue to appeal to young readers appearing high on young girls reading lists.
So what makes it such an enduring classic? Jenni is joined by Pamela Knight, Lecturer in Children's Literature at Durham University, and Emma Reeves who adapted Little Women for the stage.
Little Women will be at the New End Theatre, Hampstead until 13th January 2002. Box office: 020 7794 0022
