A group of Portuguese women have gone on trial and face jail sentences of up to three years for having illegal abortions.
The trial has been condemned by women's groups, left-wing MPs and family planning organisations, who say it encourages back-street abortions. Many believe that the abortion law itself is the crime and there are calls for urgent reform. Jenni talks to Alexandra Campos, a journalist with Publico newspaper in Porto.
