Ziba Mir-HosseiniMonday 22 October 2001
Ziba Mir-Hosseini is an Iranian anthropologist and filmmaker.

Her new documentary, The Runaways, is set in Tehran, in a refuge for young girls who've been forced to run away from their families as a result of abuse and intolerable restrictions.
The film follows the efforts of the refuge's counsellors to negotiate some rights for the girls when their families come to find them.
Ziba Mir-Hosseini discusses the film and the way women are forging new rights for themselves in Iran.
The UK premiere of the film takes place on Tuesday 23 October at Sheffield International Documentary Festival.
